Tungsten electrodes are one of the most important consumables when setting up a tig welder for hand tig welding and more importantly for machine or automated welding, with the correct balance of rare earth minerals for each application.
Longevity of the electrode angle during welding will ensure the welding arc remains constant throughout the weld process and not deteriorate, which could lead to weld defects including tungsten contamination in the weld.
There is a range of tungsten's available to suit many applications in DC only, AC only or a combination of AC/DC welding output.
Careful selection should be made to the type and diameter of the tungsten which will ensure it works within the correct welding parameters.
